Welcome to the College of Material Science and Engineering(SMSE) at the University of Wuhan Textile University. The College of Material Science and Engineering (MSE) of Wuhan Textile University was founded in 2010, which consists of the Polymer Science and Engineering Department, Composite Science Department and Material Science and Engineering Department.
Except for the obtained prizes including one first-class National Science and Technology Progress Award, one second-class National Technology and Innovation Award, two second-class Technology of Innovation Award of HUBEI, one first-class Science and Technology Progress Award of China Association of Textile Industry and two second-class Science and Technology Progress Awards of China Association of Textile Industry, we also contribute to the Materials Science and Engineering(MSE) as an important partner in industry in China. Most of our scientific innovations have been successfully commercialized. Furthermore, more than 400 papers were published (among which ~300 papers were included in SCI/EI ). National model courses such as “Fabric materials”, university model courses including “Polymer Physics” and “Polymer Chemistry” offering the high-quality learning materials for students at both graduate and undergraduate levels. More than 10 million CNY research funding from more than 40 projects including the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program) and National Natural Program were supported by Chinese government.
Our friendly faculty including 8 professors (including one expert of “Thousands Talents Program (China)” and three Ph.D supervisors), 16 associate professors and 21 lectures and engineers which providing support and inspiration for your study and research here. And a world-wide academic cooperation was established with the academic organizations of the United States, UK, Australia, Japan, Russia, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China and Taiwan of China. More than 880 undergraduate students and 32 graduate students are study in our college currently. And generally, the employment rate of graduated student are higher than 90% percents.
